This book deals with hard topics, but it always points back to Christ and a firm foundation in Him. The characters are broken, but by the end they are glued back together. Not with a pretty bow, but with a faith that will sustain them past the pages we read. It keeps you on the edge of your toes and then some. You never know what will happen next. I kept trying to figure out where the story was headed and I was never quite sure. I read this almost in one sitting because I HAD to know what happened next.

"In the Midst of the Storm" had me on the edge of my seat. With a cast of strong characters and the never ending question of who to trust, I couldn't put this book down until I had devoured it. Now I want to read it again!

The story is a wonderful mix of wholesome and gritty. I was on the edge of my seat at some parts. The villain is excellently portrayed and really creepy. I’m so glad I read this book!
